Day 28 of 31 days of Psychedelic Drawings!

On June 29, 1967 at the Jazzhus Montmartre, Copenhagen, reknown Jazz saxophonist Dexter Gordon speaks into the microphone to introduce his next song. His voluminously low, airy voice booms into the microphone, "The Squirrel"...followed by a quieter and more relaxed, "The Squirrel". There is a pause and then the quartet takes off playing the smoking hot Tad Dameron cover, made famous by Miles Davis in 1951. Dexter Gordon's voice made "The Squirrel" the coolest sounding word in the English language. Immediately squirrels in every city in the world were wearing sunglass and little black turtle necks...smoking cigarettes.

I wish I could cooly introduce this drawing to you with the same effectual voice, "The Squirrel...the squirrel." I worked from the bottom up with this drawing so the squirrel was actually the very last thing I drew. So many places in this drawing to hoard nuts and jump around!
