30x30” watercolor & gouache on canvas

Ostera was created in the Spring of 2018 and was the first piece I finished in my new Seattle studio at the time. This piece is about renewal and rebirth. I had a lot of fun creating and destroying layers and playing with goopy absorbent ground medium, watercolor concentrate and palette knives. This is one of my boldest paintings with thick fat lines and bright colors…if there is a space in need of livening up, Ostera is here to party!
